MathePrisma is a project of the Fachbereich Mathematik at the Universität Wuppertal which aims at visualizing mathematical interelations via interactive presentations on the computer.
The project homepage offers modules which are made up from HTML pages and Java applets. They can be viewed online as well as downloaded to the user’s PC.
The primary target group is the Unter- and Mittelstufe at the Gymnasium, but there are also modules for the Oberstufe and the beginners level at university.
I wrote the following MathePrisma modules:
• Zahl Pi XXL: Methods to compute the number Pi
• Zufall im Computer: Generation of pseudo random sequences on the computer
• Kurven: Geometric visualization of the derivative, integral, Taylor polynomial, circle of curvature, interpolation polynomial
